TruHearing® and SHOEBOX® Partner to Expand Access to Hearing Healthcare

(Draper, UT) – February 20, 2025 – TruHearing, the #1 market share leader in hearing health,[1] has partnered with SHOEBOX, the leader in hearing screening and testing solutions, to fill a gap in hearing healthcare.

Nearly 80% of Americans have not had their hearing tested in the past 5 years.[2] Among those who have been tested and diagnosed with hearing loss, cost is the #1 barrier preventing them from receiving treatment.[3]  The TruHearing Hearing Aid Advantage Program was developed to help SHOEBOX’s occupational hearing conservation customers in the U.S. offer a more comprehensive hearing healthcare solution to their employees, including their friends and families. This new partnership enhances support throughout the entire hearing care journey, from prevention to treatment. This program provides access to SHOEBOX’s advanced hearing screening technology to assess and monitor their hearing health, in addition to affordable hearing aids offered through TruHearing.

Hearing aids can be expensive, with an average price of more than $4,600 per pair,[4] but this new partnership minimizes costs by offering discounts on high-quality hearing aids from top manufacturers including Signia®, Widex®, and TruHearing.

Through this program, individuals will gain access to the largest contracted network of 8,850+ provider locations throughout the United States, along with TruHearing’s #1 ranked patient service team to offer guidance through every stage of hearing care.

“Our research shows that 79% of employees want hearing healthcare but only 1 in 10 employees have access to hearing coverage from their employer.[5] This program will add significant value by making hearing healthcare more accessible to employees and their loved ones,” said Trent Sterling, CEO, TruHearing. “This program is a direct reflection of TruHearing’s mission to reconnect people to the richness of life, and we’re thrilled to partner with SHOEBOX to do just that.”

As part of WS Audiology®, both TruHearing and SHOEBOX can leverage the experience, innovation, and buying power of a global leader in hearing health to deliver innovative hearing care solutions.

“We are proud to celebrate this partnership with TruHearing as we amplify our shared vision of equal access to quality hearing care,” said Alyson Bush, Strategic Sales Initiative Manager at SHOEBOX. “This innovative program will strengthen hearing care for those who need it most, making it easy and affordable to safeguard hearing health.”
