I was born with a hearing loss, and got my first pair of hearing aids when I was 9. I am also a singer, actor, and dancer. I sing in a professional choir and church choir, perform in musicals and plays, and have earned a silver medal in the World Finals of Winterguard International—which incorporates a form of dance that combines ballet, contemporary, and jazz. My passion lies in music and performance. I studied music education and have a Bachelor’s in Music from Furman University.
I think it goes without saying that none of this would be possible without my hearing aids from TruHearing. They opened a new world I had never known when I was 9, and that world has only continued to grow and expand for me as I’ve continued to explore it via my hearing aids.
A couple of years ago, when I finished earning my Bachelor’s degree and began my life as a performer and educator, I had to buy a new pair of hearing aids, because my old ones had begun to fail and fall apart. I was paying my student loans and for a new car at the time and had very little money to spare for what typically costs as much as a car in itself. Thankfully, TruHearing gave me the chance to get a quality pair of hearing aids that allowed me to continue my performance and education lifestyle by meeting my budgeting needs.
I cannot begin to express my gratitude for a company that helps those of us without the financial means to gain access to this incredible world of music and sound that I have chosen to make my living and passion. My life would be vastly different without my TruHearing hearing aids. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
